We’re huge fans of physiotherapists, our designer is one! What was it that made you want to be a physiotherapist?
Since I was 15, I had been going along to mum's appointments with the physio. I was amazed at how they could diagnose a problem and provide hands on relief and advice. I saw the impact this had on mum's life and I wanted to have that impact on people too. I've always loved the problem solving that's required, as well as it always being a challenge!
What is your favourite part of being a physiotherapist?
What are the most common foot problems you see in your female patients?
I have seen quite a few female patients with plantar fasciitis or MTSS. So often people are increasing load without appropriate support/strength/flexibility.
What features of FRANKiE4 do you think could benefit your female patients?
Arch support is such a big one for patients like this, and also a firm comfortable fit! So often shoes in this sort of style have no support, are heavy, and have minimal flexibility through the shoe body causing stiffness/jarring on heel strike. So I think the arch support, soft leather, and firm fit in an everyday-style sort of shoe (in fact, a very stylish everyday shoe!) would benefit these women.
