Health Professional - Rebecca Ireland
We’re huge fans of podiatrists, our designer is one! What was it that made you want to be a podiatrist?
There are many reasons that directed me towards becoming a podiatrist. I could go on and on about this topic, but I will keep it brief. The bottom line is that we need healthy feet! People come to see me of all ages, sizes, and backgrounds. Although, there is one thing for certain that they all share in common - they want and need to use their feet on a daily basis! My job allows me to help people to manage their pain; often this occurs instantaneously which gives me great satisfaction.
What is your favourite part of being a podiatrist?
Working with people to improve their quality of life and empowering them with knowledge to make healthy decisions.
What are the most common foot problems you see in your female patients?
I see many ladies with digital deformities such as Hallux Abducto Valgus (more commonly known as “Bunions”!) This condition can also cause ‘hard skin’ and “corns” to develop due to unstable pressures through the feet.
What features of FRANKiE4 do you think could benefit your female patients?
I think the arch support, the adequate space at the toe box, the leather materials, and the fact that they are stylish will ensure the wearer’s feet can function at their optimum.
How did you like your FRANKiE4s?
They are comfortable and suit a range of outfits so they are also flexible in the wardrobe department. Additionally, they accommodate my orthotics well, so they enhance the therapeutic benefit of my devices.
In three words describe what FRANKiE4 means to you?
Style, shape, orthotic-friendly.
