Health Professional - Rachel Nicolaides
We’re huge fans of physiotherapists, our designer is one! What was it that made you want to be a physiotherapist?
I have always loved helping people and problem solving, and being a physiotherapist allows me to combine both of these things. I also knew I wanted to be involved in an active job, and physiotherapy is perfect for that, very rarely do we sit still!
What is your favourite part of being a physiotherapist?
I love being able to hear people’s stories, help people through pain and functional limitations, and know that I am helping to positively affect someone’s life. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing your patients improve and be amazed at what they can achieve.
What are the most common foot problems you see in your female patients?
As females we love our pretty shoes, which regardless of how uncomfortable, we insist on wearing anyway. Amongst my female patients, I commonly treat plantar fasciitis and a variety of tendon conditions around the foot. Many times, these conditions can be related back to a poor choice of footwear, such as thongs, which many people up here in North Queensland love to wear!
What features of FRANKiE4 do you think could benefit your female patients?
The wonderful arch support, forefoot cushioning, heel support and stylish nature of FRANKiE4’s could benefit my female patients. I have had countless compliments on my FRANKiE4 ELLiE shoes since wearing them, which proves that style can equal comfort.
How did you like your FRANKiE4s?
I LOVE my FRANKiE4’s! I wear them daily to work and have worn them on weekends with casual wear. I love that they can be worn for many occasions and you can choose how much support you need from the interchangeable inner soles. From day one, they have been comfortable to wear for long periods of standing and walking.
In three words describe what FRANKiE4 means to you?
Comfortable, stylish, versatile.
