Health Professional - Melissa Connell
We’re huge fans of physiotherapists, our designer is one! What was it that made you want to be a physiotherapist?
I was always interested in health when I was at school and knew that I wanted to work within the field but wasn’t exactly sure in what capacity. One of my year 12 teachers suggested that I try to get into Physiotherapy so I took her advice and have never once regretted that decision.
What is your favourite part of being a physiotherapist?
I love being able to go to work every day with the primary goal of helping people, it is really satisfying when you have assisted in improving someone’s quality of life. I really enjoy meeting a diverse range of people and building relationships with my clients.
What are the most common foot problems you see in your female patients?
The most common foot problem I see in my female patients would have to be plantar fasciitis, along with other biomechanical foot issues which contribute to lower limb pain/dysfunction.
What features of FRANKiE4 do you think could benefit your female patients?
I love the way that the shoe can be adapted to suit a variety of different foot types - it is often difficult to find shoes that fit perfectly and the different inserts provided are a great way of achieving this. It is also nice to have shoes that are comfortable and stylish at the same time, something which a lot of my female patients would really appreciate.
How did you like your FRANKiE4s?
I love my FRANKiE4 shoes. They feel so comfortable and light on the feet that I can wear them all day without any discomfort and being a physiotherapist and mother to a young toddler that is very important!
In three words describe what FRANKiE4 means to you?
Comfortable, Stylish, Adaptable.
