Health Professional - Lucy McKechnie
We’re huge fans of podiatrists, our designer is one! What was it that made you want to be a podiatrist?
My first experience with a Podiatrist was in year 10 on work experience, I learnt a lot and enjoyed my week with the POD. Come year 12 I knew I wanted to do further study in the health sector so I decided to study podiatry. It was helpful that I could start my study close to home. I enjoyed every minute of my 4 years and am now working full time.
What is your favourite part of being a podiatrist?
Hard to narrow down to one, as I enjoy a lot about my job, probably my interaction with many different individuals daily and trying to make them feel more comfortable when walking.
What are the most common foot problems you see in your female patients?
As I see mostly older people the most common problem I see is painful corns.
What features of FRANKiE4 do you think could benefit your female patients?
How functional and comfortable they are to wear. And they are very fashionable. Ticks all the boxes.
How did you like your FRANKiE4s?
I love wearing my pair of ELLiE shoes. They fit snuggly on my feet and I feel happy because my feet are happy.
In three words describe what FRANKiE4 means to you?
Comfortable, Stylish, Versatile.
