Podiatrist Profile - Linda Ryan
We’re huge fans of podiatrists, our designer is one! What was it that made you want to be a podiatrist?
I have always enjoyed the health field. I was inspired when I studied nursing and while on placement working in a day unit with a Podiatrist, which was the day, I decided to study podiatry and love it.
What is your favourite part of being a podiatrist?
The most rewarding part is reducing pain and improving quality of life. I love to see my patients active, mobile and on their feet.
What are the most common foot problems you see in your female patients?
Most common foot problems I have seen may include combined or alone: bunions, claw toes, corns, forefoot pain, involuted toenails causing pain and tissue breakdown arising from systemic conditions.
What features of FRANKiE4 do you think could benefit your female patients?
FRANKiE4 footwear includes key features that I educate patients on what is ‘adequate’ footwear. Majority of female patients I see are elderly, therefore require good stability, torsional control, firm heel counter, adequate fastenings and adequate height and depth in the toe box area. Further to this FRANKiE4 footwear contain different additions you can add to foot bed to make them more custom for each person or room for full-customised orthotics if required.
How did you like your FRANKiE4s?
I really love my FRANKiE4 footwear. I do not get tired feet after work anymore and have now become my footwear of choice for work.
In three words describe what FRANKiE4 means to you?
Saved my soles!
