Health Professional - Laura Ellwood
We’re huge fans of podiatrists, our designer is one! What was it that made you want to be a podiatrist?
Originally it was the sports and biomechanical side of podiatry which attracted my attention. Since working as a podiatrist I have come to enjoy all aspects such as footwear and general foot care.
What is your favourite part of being a podiatrist?
Being able to help people live more comfortable, healthy and active lives. If you have painful feet then you aren’t going to be very happy in your everyday life!
What are the most common foot problems you see in your female patients?
Heel pain and forefoot deformities such as bunions, retracted toes, ball of foot burning pain and corns and callous. Most of these I would put down to years of unsupportive footwear.
What features of FRANKiE4 do you think could benefit your female patients?
FRANKiE4 offers a range of stylish fashionable shoes which are actually comfortable to wear. I like the wide toe box of the shoes which can help prevent forefoot deformities as mentioned above. The heel cup is deep enough to fit my orthotics, so no slipping out of the heel cup. The laces add support and comfort. The range of footbed insoles are also super comfortable which allow for different width feet to be fitted correctly.
How did you like your FRANKiE4s?
I feel excited to have found a slim, stylish and comfortable brand that I can not only wear myself, but recommend to my friends, family and patients.
In three words describe what FRANKiE4 means to you?
Slim, stylish and comfortable.
