We’re huge fans of nurses! What was it that made you want to be a nurse?
My younger brother was disabled soon after birth and we spent many hrs at the Royal Childrens Hospital. I was totally enthralled by all that they did for him. My Mum had at the time bought me a little book about Nurses and that was it. I wanted to be a Nurse for as long as I can remember!
What is your favourite part of being a nurse?
Being a Perioperative Nurse I have little time to speak with my patients while they are awake, but knowing that I can care for them while they are most vulnerable and be their advocate is very rewarding. And often a sneaky little hand hold or smile whilst they preparing for sleep can be enough to reassure that all will be well.
What do you look for when searching for nursing shoes?
Being on my feet for up to 10 hrs per day, support and comfort would be my priority when searching for shoes.
What features of FRANKiE4 do you think could benefit nurses?
Obviously we are all different but the customfit footbeds make the shoe adaptable to suit any foot. The shoes have leather uppers and the cushioning and support along with the weight of the shoe would be a huge plus for any nurse on his/her feet all day.
How did you like your FRANKiE4s?
I have roadtested the Ellie and they are so light weight and comfortable that I love putting them on for work!! I may need a second pair for day to day wear!!
In three words describe what FRANKiE4 means to you?
Solesaving, cushioning comfort.
