Health Professional - Gabrielle Moorrees
We’re huge fans of physiotherapists, our designer is one! What was it that made you want to be a physiotherapist?
I kind of stumbled across the physiotherapy profession being an active kid and ending up at the physio a lot. At the start I must say that I didn’t know all the ins and outs of physiotherapy but now I love my profession and couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
What is your favourite part of being a physiotherapist?
Most importantly I love the warm fuzzy feeling you get from helping people get better. As part of this I love the problem solving nature of my work, while working with the patient to get all the information and formulate a plan with them to help them achieve their goals.
What are the most common foot problems you see in your female patients?
Definitely tendinopathies are probably the main foot related problem. This can be due to them trying to get more active and just not having the right support and going too hard, too fast. Or another common story is the tendinopathy starting after a nice holiday in Europe and tackling the cobble stones in fashionable but not ideal shoes.
What features of FRANKiE4 do you think could benefit your female patients?
The functional footbed with all the included modifications can tailor a pair of shoes to the patient without the need for buying extra things. In addition to this, the shoes are so fashionable and comfortable it’s not hard to encourage them to wear the shoes to look after their feet.
How did you like your FRANKiE4s?
I’ve been a FRANKiE4 fan since they started and very little is ever seen on my feet apart from this brand. My new FRANKiE4’s are super comfy and that new shoe feeling from them in my final weeks of my pregnancy has been great. I haven’t had any issues with swollen feet but I can imagine with all the ways you can modify your FRANKiE4’s, the same pair could see you comfortably and fashionably through your whole pregnancy.
In three words describe what FRANKiE4 means to you?
Fashionable, comfort, bliss.
