HEEL OR ARCH PAIN? HERE'S HOW WE CAN HELP SAVE YOUR SOLE

So, what can cause heel or arch pain?

So, what can cause
heel or arch pain?

Lots of things! Firstly, there is a common condition called Plantar Fasciitis.
Plantar Fasciitis is inflammation or degeneration of the plantar fascia. Everyone has a Plantar Fascia, one in each foot!

The Plantar Fascia is a piece of strong and thick tissue that runs along the bottom of the foot.
It connects the heel bone to the toes, creating the foot's arch.

Too much stress, over stretching and overuse of this ligament and, BAM, pain!

Let's break it down.

Arch Support

The arch contour is designed to help minimise the collapse of the arch, with the aim to reduce the stress and strain of the plantar fascia and arch of the foot in general.

Heel Cradle

The heel cradle is designed to help keep the heel cushioned and elevated, and gently support the heel, with the aim to off-load strain on the plantar fascia.

Sole

Hobbling first steps in the morning, aching and often sharp heel and arch pain is a sign your feet are in need of some support and cushioning.

The space between your foot and the ground is our obsession.
The sole is the foundation of any sole and a crucial part of the design. That is why at FRANKiE4 we don't outsource soles to be used on our styles. Instead we design our soles with foot biomechanics in mind.

Cushioning

One of our favourite benefits is cushioning - so much cushioning!

One of the reasons we suffer from sore feet is that we simply weren't designed to walk and stand on hard surfaces for long periods of time.

That's where our specialised Functional Footbeds come in. Strategically placed cushioning to keep your heel, forefoot and arches covered.
