What's your favourite part of being a wedding photographer?

"What I enjoy most about wedding photography is capturing the raw emotion of the day; the excited brides, nervous grooms, the first glimpse of her coming down the aisle, teary parents, jubilant celebrations, and bridal party shenanigans. There's nothing more thrilling for me than capturing these fleeting moments in time that may have been forgotten if not for my treasured photographs"

How long are you on your feet for an average wedding shoot?

"As a wedding photographer I am consistently on my feet anywhere from 8 - 12 hours and sometimes even more. I photograph one and sometimes two weddings per weekend. There is unfortunately no "sit down" time when you're documenting a wedding."

"Without FRANKiE4,
my feet & legs would have
given up on me years ago."

What is your style of wedding photography?

"After being a Wedding Photographer for almost 20 years, I have come to the conclusion my style can be best described as "candid & fun" although I do like to keep an element of "classical" in there, because you'll always have parents / grandparents who want those formal style photographs.   I'm also a huge fan of colour, I'm renowned for my bright & colourful clothes & lipsticks, so capturing the beautiful colours of a wedding day is also important to me."

How do you think people in your profession could benefit from healthy footwear?

"Over the years my much younger photography assistants have asked me at the end of a huge 10hr day of shooting how I "keep going" when they're falling apart at the seams. I put this down to being comfortable on my feet, one hundred percent. If your feet and legs are aching because of ill-fitting or non-supportive shoes, your whole body suffers for it. After witnessing my ability to keep going, my photography assistants are now converts to FRANKiE4s. I have also introduced many fellow wedding vendors to your Sole Saving Shoes! "

How has FRANKiE4 made a difference to you?

"Well, I’m no spring chicken anymore and being a curvaceous size 16, if I had not discovered FRANKiE4 some 10 years ago, I doubt I would still be in business. I was suffering from really bad sore feet from being on my feet for extended periods of time with unsupportive shoes, which in turn led to tight calves and plantar fasciitis. I haven't experienced a bout of it since wearing your shoes for my all-day shoots. Without FRANKiE4, my feet & legs would have given up on me years ago."

What's your favourite part of being a wedding photographer?

"I have been a wedding photographer shooting for myself for the last 6 years full time. My favourite part of photographing weddings is the ability to capture a moment in time. I always aim to document the day as naturally as possible and it is so special to be able to record raw emotions and beautiful memories from a wedding day that can be cherished forever."

You must spend long hours on your feet shooting a wedding. Has your foot health suffered?

"Most of my weddings I am running around on my feet for at least 8 hours, sometimes up to 12 without a sit down. Having to carry heavy camera gear I have always struggled with back and foot pain after a long day of shooting. In the past, I have had to add insoles to my shoes to try to alleviate some of the pain and it has always been such a struggle to find a shoe that not only is comfortable for long days but also looks good, something that usually doesn't go hand in hand in the shoe world!"

"I wish all wedding photographers knew about these shoes; they would benefit anyone who is on their feet for a long period of time!"

How has FRANKiE4 made a difference to you?

"I stumbled upon FRANKiE4 before I went overseas to Europe and wanted to find a comfy white shoe that I could wear around all the cobbled streets but would also look nice for our holiday, and I fell in love with them! I now have a special pair that I just wear to photograph weddings in, and they have made such a difference, my feet don't get sore anymore and I always get nice compliments from wedding guests on how flashy my feet look."

What is your style of wedding photography?

"My style of wedding photography is light and romantic and to match my work I like to dress in a somewhat feminine way."

You must spend long hours on your feet shooting a wedding. Has your foot health suffered?

"I spent years shooting weddings in unsupportive, cheap sandals and flats. My back and feet would ache as a result, but I told myself that it was worth it and if I wanted a shoe to support me it would probably have to be bulky and not suit the look I was aiming for."

"... over the years I have realised just how important it is to look after your feet during the wedding..."

How has FRANKiE4 made a difference to you?

"I found FRANKiE4 Footwear after complaining to a couple of other friends in the industry, so many of my photography pals had a version of FRANKiE4 and they all looked different, stylish and not how I envisioned a supported shoe to look! I bought some stat and have been amazed by the difference in my feet at the end of a 10hr wedding day! I also get tons of compliments on them! They are such a beautiful shoe and incredibly comfortable and supportive!"

How do you think people in your profession could benefit from healthy footwear?

"I am constantly on my feet for hours at a time shooting weddings and carrying heavy gear, over the years I have realised just how important it is to look after your feet during the wedding, it's the difference between feeling utterly exhausted for the days following or like you could shoot another wedding the next day."
